What do perl lovers like about python?

[previous thread subject: turncoat]

A cow-orker and friend has been trying to get me to learn python for
years. I feel like I have all I need with perl, and being busy most
of the time (like everybody else), my schedule has gotten the best of
my curiosity.

I had planned "at some point" to start an email thread in which I
asked perl programmers who like both perl and python, and who use them
both, when and why they liked using python. I figure this is germane
to the list, because I'm looking for responses from people who like
perl. At least three posts in the thread with the previous subject
cause me to ask now. I suspect I'm not alone among perl folk who'd be
interested in the responses.

"Perl rulz and python sux" responses aren't useful. I don't need
anyone to convince me to use perl. But I am curious as to what
specifically perl folks might like about python.

Thanks,
David
